Hi everyone! I know it’s been a week and a half since I’ve posted. The last 2 weeks have been a bit crazy. This is a busy time for me at work and I had one of my girlfriends bachelorette parties last weekend (which was so fun!). We went to Portland for the weekend, stayed at the Nines, and had such a great time. Most of us have known each other since we were in Junior high so it was super fun to get together for a few days.

Right before my Portland trip, Chuck and I walked around the mall and popped into Ann Taylor. They were having additional 40% off all sale items, so  I had to take a peek. I found this perfect button-up top on sale and had to get it. If they had more colors, I would’ve bought them all.

Here are 3 reasons why this button-up is perfect for Spring (especially here in Seattle):

  1. Light Weight. Here in Seattle, spring is absolutely beautiful but can be chilly.  Wearing a tank top or t-shirt aren’t always the best choice cause you’ll end up freezing by the end of the day. This button-up is the perfect spring blue and just the right fabric weight. It isn’t too thick and not too thin. It’s just perfect for a chilly winter day.
  2. Tie Button-Up Over a Dress. These light weight, button-up type shirts are perfect over a simple dress this spring. You can easily keep the bottom of the shirt unbuttoned and tie it at your waist for a fun, flirty look. You can always pair a belt with this button-up over a simple dress.
  3. Pair it with Shorts. As we approach Summer and the temps get hotter, these button-up shirts will be perfect with a pair of distressed denim shorts – white or blue jeans. You can tuck the front it and leave the front untucked for that messy, effortless look.

This top is a great investment for this time of year so head over to Ann Taylor and pick this top up on sale right now!
