Leather, Lace, and Leopard…!

The past two weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind. Chuck and I had to fly to the midwest last minute to visit my grandma. She had two heart attacks! I know, horrible! And she’s 88 years old so we strongly felt that we needed to jet set towards the east coast and see her. After being there for a few days, her spirits were lifted and she started getting progressively better.  As of today, she is out of the hospital and in assisted living.  The biggest blessing around all of this was the fact that she was at the hospital when she had the heart attack. Could you imagine if she was at her home when it happened? No, I really can’t imagine that. She had fainted at the store the weekend prior and hurt her knee so they kept her in the hospital to check her out. To me, that is all the Lord’s doing.  Praise the Lord!

Chuck and I both came home a week ago and had to dive right into work to finish out the week. I was so looking forward to this weekend. I was ready for time with my man, my girls, and some downtime. We celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday wine tasting (best birthday!), had brunch at a new, fun, farm-t0-table restaurant, and went to church. Best weekend we’ve had in a really long time.  One thing I was looking forward to was getting dressed up. Doing my makeup, my hair, and putting together a fun outfit. Well Saturday morning was my time! I woke up, the sun was shining (this Seattle weather has been nuts!), I got dolled up, and met a girlfriend for brunch at Agrodolce. It was the best time. They had yummy food and great service. You must try this place!

I decided to pair this fun, lace top with my leather leggings to add some edge. To top it off, I added my leopard heels to add some sass. Because let’s be honest, when the sun’s out in March, in Seattle, you gotta spice up your outfit.

My heels and leggings are old but I’ve linked similar items that are reasonable for you to take a look at.

What are you looking forward to next weekend?
