This past week has been a busy one. I promise I will post some fun blogs next week to make up for this one.
This week, our weather has been beautiful! In the morning, it’s chilly but by the afternoon the sun is shining and it warms up to about 70 degrees. Which is why I absolutely love Fall in the Pacific Northwest.
This particular morning, it was beautiful, chilly, with low fog and a peek of sunlight. I knew the weather was going to warm up so I wanted to wear something light and comfortable. I also had a date night planned with the hubby so wanted to look cute for that as well.
I decided to pair this midi skirt with a simple black blouse and black pumps. Since I’m only 5′, the skirt was more of a maxi length but it did its job. I also love how it drops a bit longer in the back than in the front. It gives your strut elegance and character. This blouse is simple but has a peter pan collar detail that adds a sweet touch while at the same time isn’t too busy to pair with a statement skirt. Whenever you wear a statement piece, whether its a top or bottom, you mustn’t pair it with something busy. Let that piece shine and don’t let any other item of clothing deter from it.
I wrapped the outfit up with a pair of black pumps and hot pink lips. Simple with a touch of color. This was perfect for my meetings at the office and even more perfect for my date night with the hubby. After work, all I had to do was put on my lip liner and lipstick and off I went.
What are you wearing for your next date night?
