New Years Eve (and New Years Day) are the best times of the year (next to Christmas!). It’s a time where you can reflect on the year, determine facets of your life where you want to grow or improve, and applaud your accomplishments. It’s a time where you can set goals and prepare for the New Year – and that’s the best time for self growth in my book!

For New Years, we pack our Sorel’s, dress warm, and head to our friends’ cabin in Easton, WA (about an hour away). We make a bonfire, crack open some beers, and just relax with each other. It is so nice and relaxing. We all chip in on dinners and snacks and go on adventure in the Argo and snowmobiles. So fun! What I love about it, is there’s no dressing up – your just chillin’ in your sweatshirts and furry boots and spending time with friends. It’s great!

However, for those of you who are spending New Year’s with friends and need a fancier look than Sorel’s and a sweatshirt then I’ve got your look. This skirt and sweater outfit is super easy to put together and comfortable. Lately, I’ve been all about comfort when it comes to dressier looks. What’s fun is adding a sparkly accessory like a statement necklace to make the outfit pop. Plus, when I think about New Year’s I think about glitz and glam – so find your favorite statement piece and add it to your look.

What are your New Year’s plans?
